Dr. Liza Angèle Van der Stock

Artist · Photographer

Liza photographs women and the world around them, and creates events where shared experience becomes art. Her approach is built on a methodology she developed during her PhD and refined across cultures in Asia and Africa.

Liza's methodology combines her knowledge from her Master's degrees in Sociology and Photography. She brings together women from different backgrounds and uses photography to create a shared experience.

Liza’s PhD brought transgender women together with university students, schools, and local communities, using shared feminine experience and photography to break down deep-rooted prejudice.

The work culminated in shared exhibitions across the communities involved.

She now offers this same method to organizations that bring women together, organized travel, private clubs, and women's organizations, turning their shared experience into art.

Dr. Liza Angèle Van der Stock is a member of the Explorers Club. She holds a PhD in Art, alongside a Master's in Sociology and a Master's in Photography. She travels the world to photograph remote communities, wildlife, and ocean life.

She lives between Bali, New York, and Antwerp.

She has three dogs and is involved in dog rescue in Bali
