ITINERARY
DAY 1 – Ilulissat
Arrive in Ilulissat via a charter flight from Kangerlussuaq and board the yacht directly from the pier. Settle in with a welcome drink on deck as the vessel drifts among glowing icebergs under the endless Arctic daylight. Evening sail toward Disko Bay.
DAY 2 – Disko Island
Land at Qeqertarsuaq for a guided walk through the island’s striking basalt formations and black-sand beaches. Visit the local community to learn about daily life and Greenlandic traditions before a sunset cruise along towering cliffs alive with seabirds.
DAY 3 – Disko Island
A short helicopter hop brings guests into the mountain interior for a private dog sledding experience with Inuit mushers—an authentic insight into Greenland’s heritage. Afternoon leisure on board or optional kayaking in the calm fjord waters.
DAY 4 – SAQQAQ VILLAGE
Sail north to the colorful settlement of Saqqaq. Enjoy a scenic picnic beside Pakitsuap Waterfall before exploring Smalle Sund fjord by tender. Gentle hikes reveal reindeer tracks, Arctic fox dens, and the quiet rhythm of village life.
DAY 5 – Disko Bay
Enter one of Greenland’s most whale-rich regions. Join local fishermen to catch halibut or cod, later prepared onboard by the yacht’s chef. In the evening, sail through fields of floating ice while humpback whales surface nearby.
DAY 6 – disko bay
Morning at leisure for kayaking or paddleboarding among drifting ice. In the afternoon, anchor near small uninhabited islands for a shore landing and photography session under the soft Arctic light. Dinner served on deck beneath the midnight sun.
DAY 7 – UUMMANNAQ REGION
Arrive at Uummannaq, framed by its heart-shaped mountain. Visit the local orphanage and spend time with families and community members. Afternoon visit to the archaeological site of Qilakitsoq, where ancient mummies were discovered, followed by a guided glacier-edge walk.
DAY 8 – UUMMANNAQ REGION
Optional summit-to-sea ski touring or heli-supported exploration of the ice cap. Guests seeking a slower pace can join a cultural visit with local women sharing traditional crafts and stories. Evening sail toward Ilulissat.
DAY 9 – ILULISSAT / RODE BAY
A day dedicated to the Sermeq Kujalleq glacier, one of the most active on Earth. Take a scenic helicopter flight for aerial views, followed by a private lunch overlooking the roaring ice front. Afternoon return to port and evening disembarkation.
