ITINERARY

DAY 1 – WALVIS BAY, NAMIBIA

Arrival and embarkation at Walvis Bay Marina, gateway to the Namib Desert. Meet your yacht crew and expedition team for a safety briefing and route overview. Optional helicopter excursion to Sandwich Harbour for dune exploration and aerial photography before returning for sunset dinner onboard.

DAY 2 – LÜDERITZ

Cruise south along the stark Namibian coastline toward Lüderitz, a remote colonial town framed by desert dunes. Go ashore to explore its pastel architecture, visit the ghost town of Kolmanskop, or take a short heli hop inland to Fish River Canyon. Evening sail preparation for the open-water leg.

DAY 3 – AT SEA / ORANJEMUND (OPTIONAL)

Full-day navigation southward. Depending on conditions, a brief offshore stop near Oranjemund offers a striking contrast of dunes meeting the Atlantic. Continue the journey through the Skeleton Coast region, with scenic flight options over shipwrecks and shifting sandbars.

DAY 4 – CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA

Arrive at the V&A Waterfront, one of Africa’s premier yachting destinations. Enjoy a private dockside welcome and optional guided visit to Table Mountain or the Cape Winelands. Evening at leisure for fine dining or exploration of the city’s vibrant waterfront culture.

DAY 5 – CAPE TOWN TO PORT ELIZABETH

Depart south along the dramatic Cape coastline. Stop at Knysna Heads for a brief tender excursion through its scenic lagoon (weather permitting). Continue to Port Elizabeth for refueling and an overnight stay with access to nearby beaches and coastal wildlife reserves.

DAY 6 – DURBAN

Cruise further along South Africa’s east coast to Durban. Visit the city’s bustling markets or relax at the Wilson’s Wharf marina. Optional helicopter flight inland to the Drakensberg Mountains or private dinner hosted at a local wine estate.

DAY 7 – RICHARDS BAY

Short sail north to Richards Bay, a calm anchorage favored by explorers for its tranquility. Visit nearby nature reserves or meet local Zulu artisans. Prepare for the transition from temperate waters to the tropics as the journey continues toward Mozambique.

DAY 8 – INHACA ISLAND, MOZAMBIQUE

Cross into Mozambique and anchor at Inhaca Island, fringed by sandy beaches and coral reefs. Dive or snorkel with reef fish and rays, then enjoy a barefoot beach lunch hosted by local chefs. Sunset cocktails aboard as the yacht sets course for Bazaruto.

DAY 9 – BAZARUTO ARCHIPELAGO

Arrive in the Bazaruto Archipelago, an untouched paradise of dunes and turquoise lagoons. Spend the day diving, kitesurfing, or simply exploring by tender among the islands. Optional fly-in excursion to Benguerra Lodge for dinner under the stars.
